Tottenham Injury News – Richarlison, Bissouma, Solanke, Udogie and Lucas Bergvall

Tottenham injury news

The latest Tottenham injury news update have delivered mixed injury news ahead of their London derby clash with West Ham United, with head coach Thomas Frank confirming absences, returns, and fitness boosts during his pre-match press conference.

Speaking to the media, Frank confirmed that Richarlison will miss the fixture and an extended run of games after suffering a hamstring injury. The Brazilian forward is expected to be sidelined for up to seven weeks, ruling him out of Saturday’s derby and several upcoming league matches.

“Unfortunately, Richarlison has a hamstring injury that will keep him out for up to seven weeks,” Frank said, as revealed by Tottenham Hotspur Official.

The Spurs boss, however, offered more positive updates on several other members of his squad. Lucas Bergvall, who has been monitored closely in recent days, is expected to be involved against West Ham after recovering well from his issue.

“Lucas could be available – is probably available – for Saturday,” Frank added.

Midfielder Yves Bissouma has also returned to full availability, giving Tottenham another option in the centre of the pitch as they prepare for a demanding run of fixtures.

“Bissouma is back, so he is available as well,” Frank confirmed.

Further encouragement came with updates on Destiny Udogie and Dominic Solanke, both of whom have completed strong weeks in training. The pair are now closing in on increased involvement after spells of limited action.

“Destiny and Dominic are close to finishing a good week’s training. Both are available, both look good and both are closer to playing more minutes,” Frank said.

Tottenham head into the London derby looking to steady their league campaign, with the club currently positioned in the lower half of the table. The North London outfit will be hoping that the return of several players can offset the blow of losing Richarlison for an extended period.

Kick off is scheduled for Saturday evening at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, with the Danish manager expected to name his final squad following Friday’s training session.
