Tottenham Exploring Potential Move For £25M Rated Crysencio Summerville

Tottenham Hotspur are weighing up a potential move for West Ham United’s Dutch winger Crysencio Summerville in the ongoing winter transfer window according to latest reports from Mail Online.

Summerville, who joined West Ham from Leeds United in the summer of 2024 for a £25 million fee, has been one of the brighter sparks for the Hammers in their struggle to avoid the murky waters of relegation.

The 24-year-old recently found the back of the net in West Ham’s hard-fought 2-1 victory over Tottenham last weekend to register his first Premier League goal of the season and the reigning Europa League champions are now looking to acquire his services.

Thomas Frank’s side are in need of reinforcements in that left-wide forward role where they are currently short of options. Mathys Tel is Tottenham’s only natural left winger but the Frenchman has struggled to settle into life in the English top flight.

Tel joined the Lilly Whites on loan from Bayern Munich last winter, and after impressing during his six-month temporary stay at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, earned himself a permanent move in the following summer.

However, the Paris-born forward’s time in North London has been plagued with inconsistent performances and he’s now looking for a way out after being dropped from Tottenham’s UEFA Champions League squad for the second time this season.

Spurs are reportedly open to parting ways with the 20-year-old on either a temporary or permanent basis amid interest from Ligue 1 based Paris FC. But the North Londoners will only sanction a departure on the condition that they can get a suitable replacement.

While Summerville has not been able to replicate the explosive form that convinced West Ham to splash £25 million for his signature since arriving at the London Stadium, the Hammers still see him as a key part of their plans for the near future.

West Ham boss Nuno Espirito Santo is particularly reluctant to let go of the 24-year-old Dutchman. The former Wolves, Tottenham and Nottingham Forest manager is determined to keep the core of his current squad together as he battles to steer the Hammers away from the relegation zone.
