Tottenham Hotspur are weighing up a potential move for England forward Ivan Toney, who has recently spoken about the possibility of returning to the Premier League in the future.
The former Brentford striker made a surprise switch to the Saudi Pro League in 2024, joining Al Ahli. The 29-year-old has enjoyed a very prolific time in Saudi Arabia, scoring 58 times and providing 15 assists from 76 appearances across all competitions, including 30 goals in his debut campaign.
He has also helped the club to both the AFC Champions League and the Saudi Super Cup during his short stint.
According to TeamTalk, Spurs are monitoring Toney’s situation and could make a move if he decides to leave the Middle East at the end of the season.
The North London club are expected to be in the market for major attacking reinforcements in the summer.
Brazilian forward Richarlison is likely to leave the club with uncertainty surrounding his future, while French forward Randal Kolo Muani is expected to return to Paris Saint-Germain after an underwhelming loan spell.
As we earlier reported, the Europa League champions are also exploring a move for Serbian striker Dusan Vlahovic, whose contract expires at Juventus in the summer.
For now, Toney’s priority is maintaining his form and forcing his way back into the England national team ahead of the upcoming FIFA World Cup.
Tottenham would also offer him regular top-level football and potentially a first taste of the UEFA Champions League, if he decides to make a return to the Premier League.
