Tottenham Hotspur monitoring Al Hilal forward Marcos Leonardo ahead of summer window

Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly considering a move for Al Hilal striker Marcos Leonardo ahead of the upcoming summer transfer window.

The North London club are expected to undergo a major squad rebuild this summer, regardless of where they finish.

However, if they remain in the top flight, strengthening their attack would be one of their priorities, as they aim to recover from recent disappointing Premier League campaigns.

French forward Randal Kolo Muani is also expected to return to Paris Saint-Germain at the end of his loan spell after a difficult campaign, where he has managed just five goals in all competitions, including only one in the Premier League.

Spurs have also faced challenges with their other attacking options. Dominic Solanke has struggled with recurring injury issues since his move from Bournemouth in 2024, while Richarlison could also consider leaving in search of more consistent playing time.

According to reports from Tribal Football, Tottenham have now identified Leonardo as a leading target as they look to reinforce their frontline ahead of next season.

The Brazilian U-23 international has impressed since joining Saudi Pro League giants Al Hilal from Benfica in 2024, scoring 44 goals in 72 appearances across all competitions, including 15 this season.

However, the 22-year-old has seen his opportunities limited by the arrival of Karim Benzema during the winter transfer window and could be keen on a move to Spurs to test himself in a more competitive league.

Tottenham must first secure their top flight status before they can be able to push ahead with a move for the young forward.

If they manage to stay up, meeting Al Hilal’s valuation is unlikely to be a major obstacle for the deal to happen.
