Real Madrid are gearing up to resume La Liga action this weekend with a trip to Estadi Mallorca Son Moix, where they will lock horns with Mallorca for their 30th game in the Spanish top flight this season.

Los Blancos went into the international break off the back of a huge win over local rivals Atletico Madrid, and they’ll be looking to build on that impressive result when they take to the pitch on Saturday afternoon.

However, current Real Madrid head coach Alvaro Arbeloa will have to make do without some of his key stars due to fitness concerns and suspension, per latest updates on the Spanish giants.

First-choice goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois is ruled out for the trip to Mallorca as he remains sidelined with a quad injury sustained just before the Madrid derby against Atletico.

The towering Belgian shot-stopper is not expected to return to action soon, potentially ruling him out for the entirety of April as well as the start of May.

Alongside Courtois, the likes of Rodrygo, Dani Ceballos and Franco Mastantuono will also sit out this weekend’s and other upcoming games with varying fitness problems.

Rodrygo suffered ruptures of his anterior cruciate ligament and the lateral meniscus in his right leg, ruling the talented Brazilian winger out for the rest of this season as well as the 2026 FIFA World Cup.

Ceballos is still nursing a calf injury suffered during a La Liga game against Osasuna back in February, while Mastantuono is recovering from an injury known as a “Sports hernia.”

Away from the absentees, Real Madrid could receive a double defensive boost with the potential return of Ferland Mendy and Eder Militao, who were both unavailable for the win over Atletico.

Superstar duo Kylian Mbappe and Jude Bellingham will also be in contention for a starting berth at Estadi Mallorca Son Moix after both players featured off the bench against Los Colchoneros last time out.

Unfortunately, Madrid will be without skipper Federico Valverde following the Uruguayan midfielder’s 77th-minute red card against Atletico Madrid.

Real Madrid are currently on an impressive run of form, with five wins from their last five games across all competitions.

The Spanish capital giants will be going all out for the win on Saturday as they look to keep pressure on Barcelona for the La Liga title.
