Nigerian Midfielder Raphael Onyedika is set on a move to join Turkish Super Lig champions Galatasaray.

According to reports emanating from Turkish media, the two clubs have reached an agreement on the move for the 24-year-old, who is currently with the Nigerian squad at the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations. If the deal is completed it will mark the end of Galatasaray’s long-standing pursuit of the player.

Initial negotiations were stalled after Club Brugge held out for a fee of €25 million or more. However, the Belgian side has since reduced its asking price to €23 million, a fee Galatasaray is expected to pay imminently to conclude their first winter transfer signing.

The player and his camp are also open to making the switch from Belgium to Turkey, presenting him with the opportunity to play alongside Super Eagles star Victor Osimhen at the club.

Galatasaray will offer Onyedika a four-year contract with an option for a further year, with the 24-year-old asking to be paid €1m a year.

Onyedika, who has contributed two goals in three matches so far in Nigeria’s run to the AFCON semi-finals, joined Club Brugge for €9m a few years ago and is now set to sign a four-year contract with the Istanbul giants.

The defensive midfielder has played in 24 matches across all competitions this season, logging 1,780 minutes in the first half of the season, scoring two goals and bagging one assist.
