Galatasaray have reached a total agreement with Napoli to sign Dutch winger Noa Lang in the January transfer window, according to Fabrizio Romano, with the deal now sealed between all parties.
The agreement is structured around a loan move worth £2m, with a £30m option to make the transfer permanent in June. Personal terms had already been agreed with the Dutch international, and the move would see Lang earn a higher salary should Galatasaray activate the buy clause at the end of the season.
Lang’s looming departure comes less than a year after he joined Napoli from PSV Eindhoven, but the 26-year-old has struggled to establish himself as a regular starter under Antonio Conte. Despite flashes of brilliance, he found continuity hard to come by in a squad now centred around tactical discipline and physical intensity.
For Galatasaray, the deal offers a significant attacking boost as the Turkish champions have been active in the market in search of wide options. Noa Lang’s ability to operate on either flank, beat defenders one-on-one, and contribute goals brings a new dynamic to their front line.
Napoli, meanwhile, are open to the move as they look to manage their squad and finances ahead of the summer window. The inclusion of a profitable buy option offers the Serie A side a clear exit route should Galatasaray decide to make the transfer permanent.
With all agreements now in place, Lang is expected to complete the final formalities and join Galatasaray imminently, with his performances over the next few months being the determining factor for a permanent move.
