Record Premier League winners Manchester United are weighing up a move for RB Leipzig winger Yan Diomande as part of their summer recruitment plans.
United have identified midfield reinforcement as a leading priority for the upcoming window, while recruitment staff are also assessing options on the left flank. Diomande is one of the wide players under observation, having been monitored by United scouts as they review younger attacking profiles across Europe.
Reports indicate that representatives of the club have held talks over a long-term project, including discussions around a potential five-year deal, as they assess whether to advance their interest later in the year.
The 19-year-old represented Cote d’Ivoire at the AFCON 2025 tournament in Morocco. He joined the Bundesliga outfit last summer after leaving Spanish side CD Leganes. Since moving to Germany, he has made his way into Leipzig’s first team and has attracted attention for his pace, direct style and ability to operate on either wing.
Competition for Diomande’s signature is not limited to England. Bayern Munich and Paris Saint-Germain have both been credited with tracking the winger’s progress, while Tottenham are reported to have made contact earlier in the season.
RB Leipzig are aware of the interest surrounding the teenager and are understood to view him as part of their medium-term plans. The club are under no pressure to sell, with the winger tied to a long-term contract running until 2030.
