Chelsea, Everton and Fulham have reportedly entered the race for highly-talented Bundesliga based teen attacker Said El Mala.
Correct Score Today previously reported interest in the 19-year-old from Premier League giants Manchester United, as well as Brighton and Hove Albion.
Now, a fresh report from Sport Bild indicates that the Blues, the Toffees and the Cottagers have also set their sights on a potential move for El Mala this summer as interest from the English top flight continues to crop up.
Chelsea, always on the lookout for young prospects with massive potential, are said to be particularly keen on signing the Germany U-21 international as the West London club’s hierarchy view him as an ideal fit for their current project.
However, in addition to Brighton, who have been previously tipped as favourites to land El Mala this summer, the Blues may also have to ward off competition from Everton and Fulham, with the two clubs also interested in poaching the youngster from Koln.
While Chelsea is clearly the biggest of the four interested clubs, the prospect of regular playing opportunities in the Premier League could make their rivals a more attractive destination for a player still well in the developmental phase of his career.
The growing interest in El Mala comes as little surprise, given his impressive rise at Koln since his promotion to the first team last season.
So far this term, the teenager has been involved in 30 matches for the Bundesliga outfit and has ten goals and four assists to his name.
Koln are understood to be willing to part ways with the fast-rising youngster this summer as long as their €50 million valuation is met by interested parties.
