Italian giants Juventus FC are reportedly considering a move for Guglielmo Vicario as uncertainty continues to grow around the goalkeeper’s future at Tottenham Hotspur.

The 29-year-old shot-stopper has been one of Tottenham’s regular starters since joining the North London club from Empoli FC in 2023.

However, Spurs’ disappointing campaign in the Premier League has reportedly opened the door for a possible summer exit, with the Italian international believed to be open to returning to Serie A.

According to reports from Italian outlet Tuttosport, Juventus FC have already made preliminary contact with Vicario’s representatives to explore the possibility of a move.

The Bianconeri are said to be planning a goalkeeping overhaul after inconsistent performances from their current No.1, Michele Di Gregorio.

Juventus reportedly view Vicario as a reliable option and believes a transfer fee in the region of £17 million (€20 million) would represent good value for a goalkeeper with Premier League experience.

Vicario’s uncertain future comes amid a turbulent season for Tottenham Hotspur. The North London side have struggled for consistency and currently find themselves hovering dangerously close to the relegation zone after a string of disappointing results.

A recent 3-1 home defeat to Crystal Palace further intensified pressure on the club, highlighting the defensive issues that have plagued Spurs throughout the campaign.

The situation has also increased scrutiny on Tottenham manager Igor Tudor, who was tasked with stabilising the team during a difficult period.

Instead, the Croatian coach has found the job more challenging than expected as the club battles to secure its top-flight status.

With uncertainty surrounding Tottenham’s immediate future, speculation has grown that several players could seek moves away from the club — and Vicario may be among the first names on Juventus’ summer shortlist.

If negotiations progress in the coming months, the Italian goalkeeper could be set for a return to Serie A just two years after leaving Empoli for the Premier League.
