Italian giants Juventus are weighing up a move for Manchester City captain Bernardo Silva, whose contract is set to expire this summer.
The Portuguese midfielder looks increasingly likely to leave City at the end of the season when his current deal expires, unless there’s a late twist and he has already attracted interest from several top European clubs.
Since joining from French club AS Monaco in 2017, Silva has been one of City’s most consistent and dependable performers.
He has played a key role in the club’s dominance in recent years, contributing 76 goals and 77 assists in 448 appearances across all competitions.
The 31-year-old was also instrumental in their historic 2022-23 treble-winning campaign, which also included the club’s first-ever UEFA Champions League triumph.
According to reports from Goal, Juventus are now keen to bring the experienced midfielder to Turin as part of a major squad rebuild this summer.
The Bianconeri are looking to add quality and leadership to their ranks, and Silva is seen as a player who could help them compete for the Serie A title again, while also making a stronger impact in Europe.
However, Juventus are not alone in the race for the Portuguese playmaker. According to our previous reports, Atletico Madrid are also monitoring the situation, while Barcelona along with clubs from Saudi Arabia and Major League Soccer, are also interested.
If Juventus can move quickly and agree on personal terms, they could secure a top-class addition in Silva, who would be a significant addition heading into the new campaign.
