Italian heavyweights Inter Milan are interested in signing Guglielmo Vicario from Tottenham Hotspur when the summer transfer window opens, according to the Daily Mail.
Vicario arrived at Spurs from Empoli in 2023, but his time in North London could be cut short with a summer move now a real possibility.
The Italian shot-stopper has been an important figure for Tottenham Hotspur, playing a major role in their UEFA Europa League triumph in 2025 when they defeated Manchester United 1-0 in the final last May.
However, his form has dipped in recent outings, raising further questions about his long-term future at the club. Regardless of whether Spurs stay up or suffer relegation, the 29-year-old could still be on his way out at the end of the season.
Inter Milan have now positioned themselves as serious contenders for his signature as they plan for life after Yann Sommer.
The Swiss international joined the club after a short stint at Bayern Munich in 2023, but is expected to leave when his contract expires, with no plans of an extension on the table.
The Nerazzurri are also exploring other options, including Liverpool’s Alisson Becker and Real Madrid backup goalkeeper Andriy Lunin, in case a move for Vicario proves too costly, though any deal may depend on player sales to balance the books.
Vicario is believed to be open to returning to Italy, which could also boost his chances with the Italian national team.
Should Inter meet Tottenham’s valuation, an agreement could be reached and they would be bringing in a proven, high-level goalkeeper capable of strengthening their squad ahead of next season.
