Fulham join AC Milan in the race for Moise Kean

Fulham have entered the battle to sign Moise Kean, setting up a potential summer transfer tussle with AC Milan.

According to reports in Italy, the Cottagers are keen to strengthen their attacking options ahead of the new campaign, with Kean emerging as a prime target.

However, prising the 26-year-old away from ACF Fiorentina will be anything but straightforward. Kean’s career has been a story of resurgence.

After struggling to find consistency following his initial departure from Juventus, the Italian forward endured difficult spells at Everton and Paris Saint-Germain.

But his move to Fiorentina in July 2024 proved transformative. The Vercelli-born striker rediscovered his scoring touch during the 2024/25 campaign, delivering goals with regularity and re-establishing himself as a full international option.

While the current 2025/26 season has been more inconsistent, Kean has still contributed nine goals and four assists in 30 appearances across all competitions.

Despite Fiorentina’s struggles near the lower end of the Serie A table, his individual stock remains high.

Fulham’s interest is logical. Veteran striker Raul Jimenez has impressed this season, but at 34, long-term succession planning is necessary. Meanwhile, Rodrigo Muniz has endured injury setbacks, leaving gaps in attacking depth.

The West London club are understood to have monitored him for some time, and their renewed interest signals serious intent.

AC Milan’s involvement adds another layer of intrigue. The Rossoneri are reassessing their forward line heading into the summer.

Santiago Gimenez has been linked with a potential move elsewhere, including renewed interest from Leeds United, while doubts also surround the long-term future of Christopher Nkunku.

In that context, Kean represents a proven Serie A performer who understands the league’s tactical demands and could slot seamlessly into Milan’s attacking structure.

Any deal, however, faces a significant financial obstacle. Kean reportedly has a €62 million release clause embedded in his Fiorentina contract.

That figure may deter potential suitors unless negotiations can be structured creatively or unless Fiorentina are willing to compromise.

Complicating matters further, Kean is said to be content in Florence and focused on finishing the season strongly. His immediate priority remains helping Fiorentina secure their Serie A status, rather than entertaining transfer speculation.
