Everton weighing up summer move for Crysencio Summervile

Everton are considering a summer move for West Ham United winger Crysencio Summerville as the club prepares to strengthen its squad ahead of next season.

The Toffees are said to be monitoring the Dutch attacker’s situation closely, with his recent form in the Premier League attracting growing attention.

Under the guidance of manager David Moyes, Everton are enjoying a strong campaign and remain firmly in the race for European qualification.

The Merseyside club currently sit just one point behind Brentford FC, who occupy seventh place, and five points behind rivals Liverpool FC in sixth, with nine matches remaining in the league season.

Moyes has repeatedly insisted that European qualification remains a key objective for his side.

“We’re not quite ready to give up our ambition to make Europe. We are going to try and keep going for it, why would we not?” Moyes said recently.

A European finish could boost Everton’s ability to attract higher-profile signings following last summer’s additions, which included the arrival of Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall and Jack Grealish on loan from Manchester City.

According to reports, Everton have now joined the race to sign Summerville, who shares the same representation as Dewsbury-Hall — a factor that could potentially help negotiations.

The 22-year-old initially struggled after joining West Ham from Leeds United in 2024, scoring only once in his debut campaign.

However, the winger has rediscovered his form this season and has been particularly impressive in recent weeks.

However, the winger has rediscovered his form this season and has been particularly impressive in recent weeks.

Since opening his league account in the 22nd match of the campaign, Summerville has scored five goals in his last eight appearances, emerging as one of West Ham’s most dangerous attacking threats.

Ronald Koeman, head coach of the Netherlands national football team, recently suggested the winger could soon receive a call-up to the national squad.

Meanwhile, former England striker Alan Shearer also praised the attacker’s impact earlier this season.

“Summerville has had an incredible time in front of goal. What a difference he’s made with his form,” Shearer said.

West Ham reportedly paid around £24 million to sign the Dutch winger, and it remains to be seen whether Everton will turn their interest into a formal bid when the summer transfer window opens.
