Karl Etta Eyong has no intention of joining CSKA Moscow this window despite Levante being open to a sale.
The Russian side have submitted a €30 million fixed offer for the Cameroon international, but the 22-year-old prefers to remain in Spain and assess his options in the summer, with a move to another European club understood to be his priority.
The update was reported by Fabrizio Romano, who also added that the player’s stance led to him being left on the bench in Levante’s loss to Villarreal last time out.
Even though Eyong remains under contract until June 202o, Levante are prepared to consider the proposal as they look to improve their financial situation.
Discussions were opened with CSKA Moscow, but the forward has made it clear he has no interest in joining the Russian club.
Eyong has been one of Levante’s brighter performers this season, scoring six goals and registering three assists in 22 La Liga appearances.
He suffered a dip in form following his return from the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations, where he featured four times and scored once for the Cameroon national football team before their quarter-final exit to the Morocco national football team.
A former Villareal player, Eyong began his development at École de Football Galactique before moving to Càdiz’s academy in 2022.
Now, with all the interest in the world, he appears to be determined to be in absolute control of his next move.
