Japanese midfielder Daichi Kamada is expected to leave Crystal Palace at the end of the season when his contract runs out, according to reports from BBC Sport.
The 29-year-old joined the Eagles on a two-year deal in 2024 on a free transfer from Italian club Lazio, reuniting with manager Oliver Glasner, who had coached him at Eintracht Frankfurt.
The pair enjoyed success at the German club, winning the Europa League in 2022 after defeating Scottish outfit Rangers on penalties.
Kamada settled in quickly and became an important player for Palace, making 34 Premier League appearances in his debut campaign. He also played a big part in their historic FA Cup win over Manchester City in May 2025.
This season, the Japanese international has played 15 times in the league and recently returned from a hamstring injury that kept him out for eight games. However, with no talks taking place over a new contract, he is now set to leave when the season ends.
Kamada’s departure comes at a difficult time for Crystal Palace, who have already lost some key players over the past few months, while manager Glasner is also expected to leave when his deal expires in the summer. Adam Wharton and Jean-Philippe Mateta have also been linked with moves away from the club.
The 29-year-old’s next move is unclear, but he is unlikely to struggle to find a new club given his quality and experience. His departure will also help the Eagles free up space in the wage bill as they prepare for a major summer rebuild.
