Chelsea coach Liam Rosenior has released the latest Chelsea injury news update, according to the English man, Chelsea have no new injury concerns ahead of their UEFA Champions League game against Pafos on Wednesday.
The Blues will welcome Cypriot side Pafos to Stamford Bridge in their seventh game of the UCL. Going into the fixture, there were fears of injury to some key players in the squad.
Recall that Cole Palmer was walking gingerly after their 2-0 victory over Brentford last weekend. There were also fears about Enzo Fernandez after he missed a training session on Monday. Estevao and Jamie Bynoe-Gittens were also conspicuously missing from the squad against Brentford due to injuries.
However, ahead of their game against Pafos, coach Rosenior has revealed, per football london, that all the players are fully fit and ready to go. He clarified that Fernandez missed training on Monday due to a little illness, but has now returned to full training.
Rosenior also noted that Malo Gusto, who had missed the last three games against Charlton, Arsenal, and Brentford was in contention to start, as he had reached full fitness.
Therefore, the only players who will miss the Pafos game are long-term absentees like Levi Colwill, Romeo Lavia, and Mykhailo Mudryk. Tosin Adarabioyo is also set to spend a few weeks on the sidelines after he suffered a hamstring injury against Brentford and had to be forced off the pitch.
Meanwhile, Axel Disasi, who had long been frozen out by former coach Enzo Maresca, has started training with the squad again. However, he will not be available for selection against Pafos, as he is yet to reach match fitness.
Chelsea currently sit 13th on the Champions League table, with 10 points after six games. They have to win their remaining games to make it into the top eight of the league phase. With all their available firepower, Rosenior should be able to lead the team to victory.
