Aston Villa are reportedly weighing up a summer move for Ibrahim Mbaye, with the Paris Saint-Germain youngster facing an uncertain future in the French capital.
The 19-year-old winger has struggled for consistent minutes in recent months, making 25 appearances across all competitions this season but finding opportunities limited following the return to fitness of Ousmane Dembele and Desire Doue.
Mbaye was handed chances earlier in the campaign amid an injury crisis at PSG, alongside fellow academy prospect Senny Mayulu.
However, with the squad now back to full strength, both youngsters have seen their roles reduced under manager Luis Enrique.
That situation has sparked speculation that Mbaye could seek a move away in search of regular first-team football.
A move to the Premier League could appeal to the young attacker, with Aston Villa emerging as a potential destination.
Villa boss Unai Emery, a former PSG manager, has transformed the Midlands club into a regular European contender, making them an attractive option for emerging talents.
However, Mbaye would still face stiff competition for places, with the likes of Morgan Rogers, Leon Bailey, and Emi Buendia already established in attacking roles.
Despite the lure of more game time elsewhere, staying at PSG remains an appealing option for Mbaye, who has been with the club since the age of 10 and continues to develop alongside world-class players.
The youngster recently showcased his potential on the international stage, featuring for the Senegal national football team during their Africa Cup of Nations campaign.
With interest growing and opportunities limited, Mbaye faces a crucial decision this summer: whether to remain in Paris and fight for his place or seek a fresh start to accelerate his development.
For Villa, the situation presents a chance to snap up one of Europe’s promising young wingers, but only if the conditions align.
