Brahim Díaz could be leaving Real Madrid this summer, with Arsenal already making their interest known as the Spanish club opens the door to a sale.
The 26-year-old Moroccan international has found consistent starts hard to come by at the Santiago Bernabéu. He has started just six La Liga games this season, and is eager to find a new home where he will be guaranteed more regular minutes.
The Madrid hierarchy is not prioritising a sale, but the desire to balance the wage bill and generate funds for new signings leaves the door open if the player expresses a desire to leave.
Per Ekrem Konur, Real Madrid are open to cashing in this summer and would accept an offer in the region of €40 to €45 million.
Arsenal have already made an enquiry, with Arteta understood to be an admirer of Díaz’s technical quality and keen to use him alongside Martin Ødegaard to unlock low-block defences.
Arsenal are not the only Premier League side circling. Tottenham Hotspur also hold a long-standing interest in the playmaker, viewing him as the perfect link-man for their high-transition system.
Brentford, Crystal Palace, AC Milan, Bayer Leverkusen, and Borussia Dortmund have all expressed interest too, making this one of the more competitive pursuits of the upcoming window.
Díaz’s case is strengthened by his international form. He finished as the top scorer at AFCON 2025, setting a new record for goals scored by a Moroccan player in a single tournament.
His expectation from any new club is a central role in the sporting project and a salary in the €9 to €10 million bracket annually.
With his contract running until 2027, this summer is Madrid’s best chance to recoup a meaningful fee.
