Arsenal have identified Paris Saint-Germain forward Bradley Barcola as a potential summer target as they look to strengthen their attacking options for next season.
The 23-year-old forward moved to the Parc des Princes in 2023 from Olympique Lyon and is currently under contract until 2028.
He played a key role in PSG’s historic sextuple-winning campaign last season, scoring 21 goals from 64 appearances across all competitions, while featuring regularly in the starting lineup.
However, his influence has reduced this season due to the intense competition within the squad, which has seen his starting role and minutes reduced.
According to reports from TeamTalk, Arsenal are prepared to pursue Barcola this summer as they look to add more firepower to their frontline to boost their chances of competing for more trophies.
Despite investing heavily in the squad last summer, the Gunners have struggled in the final third at times this season and are impressed by Barcola’s versatility, which would give them an extra advantage in front.
Arsenal are expected to face strong competition for the signature of the 23-year-old, particularly from Premier League rivals Liverpool, who are long-term admirers of the Frenchman and view him as a potential long-term successor to Mohamed Salah.
While PSG are keen to extend Barcola’s contract, he could be open to a new challenge as he seeks regular playing time.
A move to Arsenal could prove tempting, allowing him to compete at the highest level and also challenge for trophies, although any deal is expected to come at a high cost.
