Newcastle United have reportedly placed a staggering £80-100 million valuation on Sandro Tonali amid growing interest from Arsenal, Liverpool, Manchester United and Real Madrid.
According to Spanish outlet Fichajes, the Magpies are in no rush to part ways with the 25-year-old Italian international and will only consider offers within that hefty bracket when the summer transfer window opens.
Tonali joined Newcastle from AC Milan in a £55 million deal in July 2023 and has since grown into one of the Premier League’s standout midfielders.
Although his debut campaign on Tyneside was disrupted by a betting ban, the Italy international has been influential whenever available.
The composed deep-lying playmaker has made close to 100 appearances for Newcastle, contributing seven goals and eight assists, while dictating play with maturity beyond his years. His performances for both club and country have inevitably drawn attention from Europe’s elite.
Liverpool are reportedly exploring midfield reinforcements, particularly with uncertainty surrounding Wataru Endo’s long-term role under Arne Slot.
Real Madrid, meanwhile, are still adjusting to life after Luka Modric and Toni Kroos. The Spanish giants are believed to be keen on adding a high-level midfielder capable of controlling games at the highest level, and Tonali fits that profile.
Arsenal are also credited with interest, having considered a late winter swoop that never materialised after Mikel Merino’s injury. Despite Mikel Arteta boasting a strong midfield core, the Gunners could seek long-term depth, especially with experienced options edging into their 30s.
Manchester United complete the list of admirers. With Casemiro expected to move on after the 2025/26 season and Manuel Ugarte yet to fully convince, Tonali represents a potential midfield cornerstone for the Red Devils’ rebuild.
