Italy and Inter Milan wing-back Federico Dimarco has won the Serie A Player of the Month Award for January.

The 28-year-old’s importance to Inter Milan has been underlined once again after the Italy international provided a string of authoritative displays for the reigning champions.

The Nerazzurri wing-back has been in outstanding form on the left flank, combining consistency, intensity and end product as Inter maintained their push at the top end of the table. His performances across the month stood out in a highly competitive field, earning him the EA SPORTS FC Player of the Month honour.

According to Football Italia, Lega Serie A confirmed that Dimarco will be presented with the award ahead of Inter’s blockbuster clash with Juventus at San Siro on Saturday, February 14, with kick-off scheduled for 20:45 CET. The fixture provides the perfect stage for the 28-year-old to be recognised in front of the home supporters he has grown into a fan favourite among.

Dimarco emerged top of a shortlist that included Genoa forward Lorenzo Colombo, Juventus striker Jonathan David, Como’s Anastasios Douvikas, Atalanta’s Nikola Krstovic and AC Milan midfielder Adrien Rabiot. The competition for the award was fierce, but the Inter man’s all-round influence proved decisive.

Unlike traditional accolades decided purely by goals or assists, the Serie A Player of the Month award is determined through a combination of fan votes and detailed statistical analysis. Advanced performance data supplied by Kama Sport, using the Hawk-Eye tracking system, played a central role in separating the contenders.

For Inter, the recognition is further evidence of their collective strength, with individual brilliance thriving within a well-drilled unit. For Dimarco, it is personal validation that his consistency and work rate are being noticed beyond the San Siro faithful.

As the season moves into its decisive phase, Inter will hope their January standout can maintain the same level, while Dimarco will be eager to follow up his individual accolade with silverware at the end o
