Arsenal eyeing double Bayern swoop for Lennart Karl and Michael Olise

Arsenal are planning a significant summer transfer operation, targeting two Bayern Munich players as part of their long-term squad reinforcement strategy.

While the Gunners remain focused on their domestic and European campaigns, sitting atop the Premier League table and progressing to the Carabao Cup final, the club appears to be already laying the groundwork for the next transfer window.

The urgency stems from the potential contract uncertainties surrounding Gabriel Martimelli and Leandro Trossard, both of whom have deals expiring in 2027.

The first target is 17-year-old German U21 midfielder Lennart Karl, widely regarded as a future star. Bayern Munich are keen to secure the teenager on a long-term contract with a release clause exceeding £70m, while other top Premier League clubs, including Manchester City and Chelsea, are reportedly monitoring him.

Alongside Karl, the Gunners are understood to be eyeing Michael Olise, the former Crystal Palace attacker who joined Bayern Munich in 2024, according to reports from TeamTalk. Since his arrival, Olise has been prolific, registering 33 goals and 43 assists in 87 appearances.

With both targets commanding significant transfer fees, Arsenal must carefully plan proceedings and negotiations if they are going to bring the deals to life. Scouts are actively monitoring performances, while the club assesses Bayern’s valuation and the implications that could come with getting both players.

Whether Arsenal can land one or both players this summer will depend greatly on the outcome of these considerations, with timing, pricing, and squad fit all playing a key role.
