Cristian Mosquera is travelling with the Arsenal squad that will face Inter Milan in the Champions league tonight and could be making a come back after missing some games due to injury. However, delivering the latest Arsenal injury news update, manager Mikel Arteta has confirmed that Arsenal will be without Piero Hincapie and Riccardo Calafiori for their crucial UEFA Champions League clash against Inter Milan later tonight.
The Gunners travel to the San Siro later today, looking to continue their perfect record in the competition, in their penultimate league phase game of the 2025-26 season.
However, they are expected to be without Hincapie and Calafiori for the trip to Italy, although both players are close to a return to action. The former, who joined the North London club from Bayer Leverkusen last summer, was forced off during the goalless draw against Liverpool earlier in the month and has missed the Gunners’ last three matches with a groin problem.
Meanwhile, Calafiori has not played for Arsenal since pulling up in the warm-up for the clash against Brighton and Hove Albion last December and has now missed their last seven matches across all competitions.
Speaking on the latest Arsenal injury news at his pre-match press conference ahead of Tuesday’s Champions League match, Arteta was asked whether both players would be absent for the clash, to which the Spaniard replied “Yup”, as quoted by football.london.
On the bright side, Arsenal will be able to count on Cristhian Mosquera and Kai Havertz, who have both been included in the travelling squad.
The former is back in full training after recovering from the ankle injury he suffered during the win over Brentford last December, while the latter returned to action earlier this month after recovering from a knee injury and has been gradually building up his match fitness.
Arsenal take on Inter Milan before rounding off their league phase campaign against Kairat Almaty next week. A single win from both matches would be enough to seal a top-two finish as they prepare for the knockout rounds.
