Everton Join Newcastle and West Ham in pursuit of Genoa’s Brooke Norton-Cuffy

Brooke Norton-Cuffy courted by newcastle united and west ham united

Three Premier League clubs are in the race to secure the services of Genoa’s right-back, Brooke Norton-Cuffy. The 22-year-old has been one of the breakout stars in the Italian Serie A this season, and has caught the attention of Everton, Newcastle United and West Ham. All three of these clubs could do with decent additions to their right-back position, although their ambitions are different.

According to GiveMeSport, Everton, Newcastle and West Ham have all enquired about the one-time U-21 Euro winner. It is believed that the young Englishman is in high demand and an exit could be sanctioned in the coming days before the winter transfer window slams shut.

Apart from the trio of English clubs, the Serie A big boys – Napoli and Juventus are also tracking the progress of the Arsenal Hale End Academy graduate.

Norton-Cuffy joined Genoa from Arsenal in 2024 after loan spells with lower League sides like Lincoln City, Rotherham United, Coventry City, and Millwall. He now appears to have found a home with Daniele De Rossi’s side.

Before joining Arsenal, Cuffy also had a brief spell with Chelsea and is reportedly keen on a return to England, as he believes he’s good enough to play in the top flight.

Kieran Trippier is aging, and Eddie Howe is seeking to add more defensive cover after Tino Livramento was ruled out for up to two months with a hamstring injury. Dan Burn and Emil Krafth are also nursing injuries while Fabian Schar just went under the knife.

Everton are seeking a long-term successor to 37-year-old Seamus Coleman who has been serving the Toffees since 2009. Jake O’Brien has had to fill in since the Northern Irishman was out with a hamstring injury.

Meanwhile, West ham are still not steady under Nuno Espirito Santo. While they house decent full backs in Aaron Wan-Bissaka and Kyle-Walker Peters, they sent scouts to watch Norton-Cuffy last week.

Everton have made an official approach, but it is currently unknown if the 22-year-old wants to move to the Hill Dickinson Stadium.
