Arsenal Physiotherapist Elliott Clarke Leaves Club After Three Years

Senior physiotherapist Elliott Clarke has officially left Arsenal Football Club after three years working with the first-team squad.

Clarke, who joined the Gunners in January 2023, announced in October 2025 that he would step away from his role at the end of 2025 for family reasons. His contract concluded at the end of the year, and, as confirmed by reporters, he has now departed the club ahead of the second half of the 2025–26 campaign.

During his time at Arsenal, Clarke worked closely with players, the coaching staff, and the wider medical team to manage injuries and keep the squad fit across Premier League, FA Cup, and European competitions. His expertise in injury assessment and rehabilitation saw him help players return to action, often during high-pressure stretches of the season where every player mattered.

He worked alongside senior colleagues to oversee recovery plans, soft tissue management, and fitness programmes, playing a key role whenever injuries threatened the squad’s depth.

In his own reflections, Clarke thanked the club, staff, and players for their support, describing his time at Arsenal as rewarding and highlighting the strong relationships he built behind the scenes. He also cited the importance of family in his decision to step away, a move that brings his chapter with the Gunners to a close.

Clarke’s departure adds to the series of changes behind the scenes at the Emirates, where the focus remains on keeping the squad in peak condition for the second half of the 2025–26 season, with head coach Mikel Arteta aiming to deliver major silverware to the club.
