Liverpool target Iliman Ndiaye as potential Mo Salah replacement

Premier League champions Liverpool have reportedly added Iliman Ndiaye to their shortlist as they begin planning for life after Mohamed Salah, who is set to leave the club at the end of the season.

The Reds confirmed earlier this week that Salah will depart once the campaign comes to a conclusion, after both sides agreed to end his contract early, despite still having more than 12 months left.

The 33-year-old signed a two-year extension after a remarkable performance last season, but will now move on after nine hugely successful years at Anfield, where he won every major trophy available and cemented his status as a club legend.

With Salah’s exit now official, Liverpool are expected to strengthen their attack once the summer transfer window opens, as they search for a suitable replacement.

According to TeamTalk, Ndiaye has emerged as a serious option, and the Senegalese forward is admired for his versatility, as he can play across the front line, as well as in an attacking midfield role, which could give him an edge over other targets.

Ndiaye joined Everton from Olympique Marseille in the summer of 2024 and has quickly become a fan favourite at the club due to his impressive performances.

This season, the 26-year-old has scored six goals and provided three assists in the Premier League, helping the Toffees in their bid to seal a return to Europe.

While Liverpool have other names on their radar, potential complications around those deals could make Ndiaye a more realistic option heading into the transfer window.

The Senegalese forward would be open to a move especially if the Reds qualify for the Champions League.

However, switching from Everton to Liverpool could be tricky given the fierce rivalry between the two clubs, although a transfer could still happen at the right price.
