Premier League outfit Fulham have reached an agreement to sign striker Ricardo Pepi from PSV Eindhoven this summer, according to reports from Fabrizio Romano.
The United States international has been on the radar of the English club for some time, and they have now finally secured his signature in a deal worth up to €36 million, making the 23-year-old the second-most expensive signing in the club’s history.
The Cottagers had been expected to enter the market in search of a new centre-forward, given the uncertainty surrounding the future of Mexican striker Raul Jimenez, who could leave the club when his contract expires at the end of the season.
Meanwhile, Rodrigo Muniz has struggled for consistency since moving to West London in 2021, having to deal with injuries and patchy form and has managed just a single goal across all competitions this season.
Fulham had initially tried to sign Pepi during the winter transfer window and were close to completing a deal after both clubs agreed on a fee, but the move collapsed as PSV were unable to find a suitable replacement before the transfer window closed.
However, the Cottagers continued to negotiate a deal with the Dutch club after that time, according to our previous reports and have now finally agreed on a deal.
Pepi has enjoyed a standout campaign so far this season, scoring 13 goals across all competitions, including three in the UEFA Champions League.
Personal terms have already been agreed, and the 23-year-old is expected to undergo his medical in the coming days before officially completing the move.
For Fulham, this early move signals real intent as they prepare for next season, while Pepi can now focus on a strong finish to the season with his future now settled.
